What Norm got in his Birchbox......

Hello fancy people of the world! I meant to post last weekend, and I am not exactly sure why that never happened.  The next thing I knew, it was Monday.  Oh life.

Since my last post--- I figured out how to use bronzer without looking like I had chocolate pudding on my face (it's tough being a ginger sometimes), I quit eating junk food (going on 3 weeks now),  and I found out that I am obsessed with vibrant colors--corals, fuchsias/pinks, bright reds, blues...these colors are going to invade my wardrobe and makeup collections this summer.  It's going to be big folks or obnoxious....either way....hold on!  Also, Papa Norm had his birthday.  Which leads me to the purpose of this post.....

My father is a very fancy ginger (naturally).  When debating in my head on what to get him for his birthday, there really was no other choice......I got him a 3-month subscription to Birchbox Man.  Norm is quite the trendsetter, so this was a great gift for him (in my opinion).  When you gift a subscription for Birchbox Man, you get to choose between a box of customer favorites or a box for the fashion-forward guy.  I obviously chose the fashion-forward box (no brainer).  Gifters can choose to send a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month subscription.  If you are interested in checking out the Birchbox gift subscription options click here.

Now without further adieu, here is what Norm received in his box....

Norm's First Birchbox
Look how excited he is....precious. :)
All of the fancy things he received in his first box.

English Laundry Cambridge Knight, Full-size- $70-85   This cologne has a very lovely, manly scent (I am really bad at describing colognes...so I am just going to stop right there).  On the upside, it's called Cambridge Knight....which is great....because we love the UK...right?

Baxter of California Clay Mask, Full-size- $18 Papa Norm said that with this stuff, a little goes a long way.  When he tried it out, he said it was like a very powerful astringent----but it was good.  He did leave it on a wee-bit too long....for approximately 20 minutes.   That's what happens when you get older folks, you lose track of time.  May I suggest setting a timer for this stuff....as you really should wash it off after 5-10 minutes (at the most).  ;)

Billy Jealousy LiquidSand Exfoliating Facial Cleanser, Full-size- $24 Papa Norm also used this stuff and thought it was pretty good.  However, if you have sensitive skin don't use this everyday.  It's kind of an intense exfoliator.

Happy Socks Men's Socks, $12 Papa Norm received two pairs of these fun socks in his box.  I think he enjoyed getting them the most.  I must say, they do come in really fun color combinations.  I cannot wait to see what he ends up wearing them with.

What I think is really cool about the men's Birchbox is that they will send you all sorts of tech gadgets and apparel in the box....while putting some great skin products in there.  It's ok to exfoliate gentlemen....and a face mask won't hurt.  In fact, the Fancy Ginger recommends it.

I have no clue how many fella's read my blog (if any), but if you are interested in subscribing to Birchbox Man it costs $20/month.  It has Papa Norm's stamp of approval.

My May Birchbox has yet to come, but my Ipsy came the other day.  When everything has arrived I will do a post on both of those subscriptions.  I will be on summer vacation soon, so I should have more time to post....which means maybe more than one post a week.  I will also be traveling in a couple of weeks, but don't worry--I plan to blog my traveling adventures.

It's time to go.  My BBMak Pandora is really disappointing me tonight. I am going to have to switch to One Direction...goodness gracious.

Stay fancy!
